Quinta das Casuarinas – Near Lagos in the West Algarve
Quinta das Casuarinas -
Has been our beautiful, spacious, comfortable first or second home for nearly 25 years .
It has a wonderful feeling of privacy and seclusion, being set in three acres
of its own grounds.
The southerly panoramic views are towards the village of Portelas,
the old town of Lagos and the sea only 2 miles away.

Bougainvillea, morning glory, oleander and acacia grow abundantly around the villa. There are many covered, shaded areas for escaping the midday sun – one of which overlooks the huge securable pool terrace – providing seating for supervision of young children – and an area for alfresco dining with a BBQ.
BELOW – The setting Quinta das Casuarinas enjoys .
To the south the villa has a view from the pool terrace and the westerly terrace of the small village of Portelas. The village has changed very little over the years – there is a small shop selling all the basics and two simple, small Portuguese resturants – and a Tapas Bar .

The pool is large with plenty of sunbathing space all around it,
with a covered terrace for escaping the midday sun. There is a
good supply of sunbeds and poolside furniture, and there are
two large gates to prevent over- enthusiastic toddlers from
getting to the pool unsupervised.
The villa is on mains electricity and mains water plus bore hole water and there is a telephone.
We have a small management company - with three staff who speak fluent English and Portuguese. Their office and homes are in Luz – only a short distance away and they are only too pleased to help with any problems or queries which may arise. The pool is cleaned weekly or more often if needed.
Preparing the villa for guests and cleaning while guests are in residence – is done by Ascensau – she lives only a short distance away – always has a ready smile, is thorough , kind and reliable .
BELOW - The sitting room is spacious and comfortable with a music centre and Satellite television.
There is a Wood Burning Stove for chilly evenings and an electric fan to cool you down if it gets too warm!
There is a large selection of books including reference books – to help with the odd crossword clue —
Two sets of sliding glass doors – one set leads to the outside, covered dining area with views over the pool terrace and beyond to the sea, two miles off. The second leads to the terraces on the west side of the villa
